Allotrope™ Connect

Registration is open for next Allotrope Connect workshop, including the public session on Tues. Nov 6, which will be hosted by Amgen in Cambridge, MA. The agenda will feature presentations from Member companies and vendors in the Allotrope Partner Network (APN) describing the latest work on implementing the Allotrope Framework and data standards in products and IT solutions. Every one of these workshops is different because there is SO much going on in the ecosystem. If you’re looking to stop integrating data in spreadsheets and sharing data via PDFs, or if you want to understand what “digital transformation” of the lab really means, you won’t want to miss this workshop.

As an example of the nature of presentations and discussion that will be happening, at this year’s April workshop hosted by Agilent, we saw a preview/demo of the OpenLab Chemstation CDS software (supporting ADF) that Agilent released in July, saw work in progress on Chromeleon at ThermoFisher, and heard some really interesting plans from Bruker for several NMR solutions underway leveraging the Framework. We also learned about archive projects based on the ADF at Genentech and Bayer, the latter partnering with APN Member Zontal, and gained insight from the HDF Group on features and capabilities of HDF5 that could be leveraged by the Allotrope Framework (the ADF is based on the HDF5 standard and api). The poster and networking session included many more examples of projects implementing the Framework and standards and featured a significant number of which are collaborations between Foundation Member Companies and APN Members.

If you want to change the status quo for acquiring, managing and leveraging data, but don’t know where to start, there is no better place to learn than at an Allotrope Connect workshop. Plan on catching the poster and networking session the night before (Mon. Nov 5) as well.

Allotrope Foundation and Partner Network Members will continue working Wed. and Thurs. in parallel technical and strategic tracks at Amgen and Biogen locations.

We hope to see you in November!
